KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.91 g, 11 h), Babylon, struck under Archon, Dokimos, or Seleukos I. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; in field to left, facing radiate head of Helios; below throne, KY. Price P205. Lightly toned and with a lovely and sharply struck reverse symbol. A few minor marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
